I always love to create Abstract Flower Photography images by using their beautiful forms and vivid colors to my advantage. In this picture I dismissed my usual Approach to Flower Photography
as I already had my final image in mind. After setting up tripod and
camera equipment I carefully explored the potential of the flower bouquet from all angles in
front of me. It did not take long until I finally arrived at a
composition that satisfied my original photographic goal. There was only
little need to further adjust the iris floral in the background to
better compliment the flower blossom in the front of the image thereby
providing the viewer with a second colorful focal point.
Manual focusing allowed to pin point the focus on the yellow beard. I then picked a large aperture of f/8 to allow for shallow Depth of Field to let everything else in the back fall out of focus and into a colorful blur. Shutter speed resulted into 1 second at ISO100. During post processing I removed minor dust spots and minimally adjusted lighting, color saturation and contrast before sharpening the final abstract flower photography image "Abstract".
Good light and happy photo making! Juergen
