Found this Iguana at John Pennekamp State Park in Florida near Everglades National Park. While other kept shooting standing and achieved top down images I made my way down to ground level. The idea was to be add eye level with the reptile and therefore achieving a more interesting perspective of the animal. A large aperture (small f-stop number like f/5.6 or smaller) beautifully isolated it from the green trees and blue sky in the background. Aperture was f/3.5 resulting in a 1/500 second exposure time. I used a Polarizing Filter to boost colors and minimize unwanted glare.
It's an amazing shot. Colors, brightness, background everything is just perfect. It does show passion of photographer.

Thanks a trillion dollars for your comment on my reptile Wildlife Photography image of an Iguana. It was a great find at the John Pennekamp State Park in Florida and a little nerve wrecking to be a few feet away and down at ground level with the guy. In the end I was rewarded with a great wildlife photo that I so much love ... glad you like it to Laura! My best, Juergen
