During a recent photo trip to The Cape I experienced a beautiful sunrise at Nauset Beach in Orleans, MA. Lighting and weather conditions were perfect and I arrived well in advance of the sunrise on location. This allowed for a timely set up of tripod and camera gear while patiently awaiting the perfect Cape Cod sunrise moment. A split neutral density filter balanced the darker foreground of the dunes, beach grass and fence against the brighter sunrise sky. One of the best ways to start a day on the Cape and an amazing outdoor experience!
Aperture in this Cape Cod photography image was set to f/11 resulting in an exposure time of 2.5 seconds exposure time at ISO 100. During my routine post processing I removed dust spots, minimally adjusted lighting, contrast and color saturation before sharpening the final photography picture of Cape Cod Nauset Beach.
Good light and happy photo making!
