Pay close attention to the background of your floral subject. It might make or break your final Flower Photography image. A flower blossom photographed with a soft, blurred and uncluttered background solely stirs all focus on the beautiful floral while a messy background acts as a disturbing distraction. Blurred backdrops can be created with large apertures (small f-stop numbers like f/5.6 and smaller) and use of long telephoto lenses like 200mm or longer.
