This famous red fishing shack is beautifully situated in the harbor at the end of Bradley Wharf. Motif Number 1 or Motif Number One is a symbol of New England maritime life and a beloved inspiration to many painters. Its been featured in many paintings making it one of the most painted buildings in America.
It must also be up there as one of the most photographed buildings in the United States of America. Usually when I stop by there are many photographers around but this morning I think I shared the location only with local Rockporters and fishermen.
The shots featured here were taking with a Canon 16-35mm lens or Canon 24-70mm lens on my Mark IV. A Gitzo tripod provided stability for the long exposure images.
In post processing I adjusted lighting, contrast, color saturation and removed unwanted image imperfections before sharpening the final photography images of Rockport Harbor.
Good light and happy photo making!
Juergen
