My last photo adventure brought me to Jupiter Inlet Light. This historic landmark is located in Jupiter, Florida along the Loxahatchee River and north side of the inlet. I scouted DuBois Park as a photo location with potential for great pictures of the famous red lighthouse at sunset.
Upon arrival I worked my way closer to the Inlet Light until I reached the pier that provided fantastic views of the Jupiter Inlet Light. In this image I incorporated the coconut and palm trees as silhouettes in the foreground while the beautiful sunset hues framed the small lighthouse. The most tricky part was to wait for people watching the magic of the colorful sunset light to unfold. Patience paid of and I succeeded to capture a few images before the wonderful light faded away into the night.
Aperture was set to f/11 providing a shutter speed of 1 second at ISO100. During post processing I followed my routine work flow where I removed unwanted dust spots, adjusted lighting, color saturation and contrast before sharpening the final image of Jupiter Lighthouse.
Good light and happy photo making!
Juergen
