Photo Tip - Using Color Contrast to our Photographic Advantage

www.RothGalleries.com

Using color contrast by implementing complimentary colors into a composition is one sure shot in improving our photography pictures and make them stand out more. High contrast is implied by placing 2 distinct colors that are very different from each other in the photograph. In example, the prime color might be red while the complimentary color is green; blue and orange or yellow and purple are other examples.

Next time you are out and about in the great outdoors shooting landscapes or macros look for complimentary colors in nature and compose your image around them – see and share what you get!
