Nubble Light Sunrise Silhouette Photography
For this photo I planned to arrive on location well before sunrise, so I had time to explore for suitable compositions and set up in time. I got immediately to work upon arrival and equipped my Canon camera with a wide angle lens 24-70mm. At 70mm I was able to frame this New England lighthouse beautifully while Mother Nature provided the rest. What a great morning; Maine, worth a visit, worth a lifetime!
Back at home I followed my routine post processing workflow where I cleaned up the image from dust spots, adjusted contrast, lighting and color saturation before sharpening the final image of this historic Maine lighthouse of the Nubble Light.

Spring into Boston Beacon Hill Photography
I always love getting into BOSTON during the early spring time. The Public Garden with its Swan Boats and blooming tulips is iconic. Beacon Hill is not far behind and equally stunning with its tree lined streets blossoming in beautiful colors and hues. This Boston photography image took a while to compose and then to capture was no picnic either. Car were constantly driving through the composition and so were Bostonians walking through the frame. Eventually I succeeded capturing an intimate BOSTON BEACON HILL scenery that represents its unique and historic charm.

Butterfly Photography at the Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory
The other week I visited Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory in South Deerfield, Massachusetts. I met up with a bunch of like-minded friends and photo enthusiasts. We were able to gain early access to Magic Wings and bring in tripods with plenty of other gear. Butterflies were quietly resting and slowly starting their day. It was awesome having the place for a couple of hours to ourselves. I always like to use my tripod, even in bright daylight but it came in quite handy in this butterfly garden as it allowed for easier manual focusing. I started out with a 100mm macro lens but quickly switched to my 100-400mm lens. I actually prefer Photographing Butterflies with a long lens as it blows out the background nicer and also provides a more manageable working distance to the butterflies. Where is your favorite butterfly garden?
