What is the Worst Photography Mistake?

In my opinion, the worst photography mistake a photographer can make comes down to not using a tripod. A solid tripod with a tripod head is the number one expense that a photographer must shell out for after buying a camera with an assortment of lenses. A steady tripod stabilizes your camera gear thereby producing higher quality and sharper photography images at any time of the day. Without a tripod it is nearly impossible to capture a clear photography image without blur at the best times of the day for photography when exposure times are longer. The early morning and late evening light at dusk and dawn provides the photographer with the exceptional lighting that makes viewers of our photo art say "wow".

A tripod also allows you to carefully compose a photograph and basically freeze the composition while you wait for the perfect light to appear. During that time you can evaluate the view for unwanted distractions, re-adjust your composition if needed, make camera changes for best exposure settings, install filters and adjust them as needed without interfering or destroying your picture perfect compositions.

Tripods are an essential gear for successful photography, so don't be cheap about it and deal the odds of a great capture into your favor.

Good light and happy photo making!
